Lev was born and raised in Washington Heights, New York City. He attended Fiorello H. Laguardia High School and NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts.

Lev began as a performer and, at age 13, had a principal role in Julie Taymor’s production of The Magic Flute at The Metropolitan Opera. He has appeared in Love the Coopers (Lionsgate), The Mysteries of Laura (NBC) and played a lead role in “Palisades Park” and “Scarecrow” — two music videos produced by Capitol Records for Counting Crows. He is currently a recurring character on Amazon’s new original series, Red Oaks.

His short film “Side Effected” was voted as an “Audience Favorite” at the 2013 Palm Springs International Shortfest earned a Vimeo Staff Pick and played at festivals internationally. His newest short film “For The Record” has been screened at festivals internationally.
